MUSIC: [video] little dragon “brush the heat” live

31Jul11

I’m so happy I have new music to obsess over.  Swedish electropop group Little Dragon caught my ears with their single “Twice” from their debut album Little Dragon a few years ago, thanks to @kcrw.  Now with their third album Ritual Union [album cover above], released just a few days ago (7/26), my playlist gets a tune-up with new jams for my workouts.  I can’t wait to put my Brooks shoes on….

Little Dragon consists of eclectic Swedish-Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion), Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Källgren Wallin (bass) and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards), all of which were close high school friends.  I was able to watch them perform at the Hollywood Palladium a year or two ago and had a fabulous time.  Since then, they’ve toured the world, made a remix track with SBTRKT and Drake called “Wildfire”, produced another amazing album and most importantly, they are returning to Los Angeles.  One show in August at the Roxy Theater and another in October at Avalon.  I missed the boat on Roxy but I will definitely go to Avalon.  Who’s game?

Below, check out a video of Little Dragon performing “Brush the Heat” live off their new project.  No idea where this was video was shot at, not even going to check out the description because I don’t care.  But please do make sure you watch the last half of the video where Little Dragon dives into their instrumental vibe and move the crowd with their hypnotic tunes.

  1. Have you considered starting a community forum on this website instead of just writing a post like this?

That might actually give the platform for more people to chip in their suggestions as well, what’s your opinion?

  2. Excellent post! We are linking to this great content on our site.
    Keep up the good writing.
